Chipotle: Take your sweet and spicy out for something spicy! Dildine will host an event for families to take their loved ones out to eat a hot meal at Chipotle. Invite family and friends to eat with you. Stay tuned for event times and a finalized date (February or March) to be announced in the Dildine Digest. 50% of all sales that night will go back to Dildine Elementary! This is an event where each family is responsible for their own food purchases.
Fit-for-Dildine: For the past few years the PTO has helped kick off the school year with a walk-a-thon. Fit-for-Dildine brings in the funding PTO uses to hold events like family nights throughout the year and make purchases like playground equipment and computers for the school. 100% of the money raised goes to Dildine Elementary and the students get to participate in activities such as walking the field, hula hoop contests, and an obstacle course.
Students receive prizes for monies raised and this year the school has a great goal to reach. This year’s goal is $10,000 which comes to each student bringing in $20-$40. Fundraising starts August 28th and the walk-a-thon event will be held on September 18th. Help us start off this year and meet our $10,000 goal!
NEW - Holiday Shop: This year we will hold a holiday shop for students. The holiday shop gives students the opportunity to earn money around the house doing small chores for you, budget their earnings, and shop for Christmas/holiday gifts for those in their family and for friends. It will give them a sense of independence, responsibility, and pride to know they worked so hard for their loved ones.
Being the first year we’ve tried this in a while, we are looking forward to it! Since Dildine has such a great and large student body, the holiday shop will only be open 1 night. December 1st will be PTO’s Holiday Happening with Karaoke, hot chocolate, Santa, and the Holiday Shop. Please come, enjoy the festivities, and get some of your gift shopping completed early! Items range from $0.50 to $16 with a majority of the items under $5. The school will receive 10% of the night’s sales
Papa John’s Pizza: Dildine Elementary will receive flyers from Papa John’s advertising the pizza specials for our families. For every flyer order Papa John’s receives from our Dolphin families, Papa John's will pay Dildine Elementary $2. There will also be a free pizza party to each class that returns 10 pizza flyers (with orders from the flyers) in a month.
Spooners: We will host a Dildine night at Spooners in the spring. Go out and fill your loved ones full of good for you frozen yogurt and yummy toppings (candy, berries, chocolate syrups, etc.). Go out and celebrate the achievements of your students or to take a break from the holidays. Stay tuned for the date and time of this event coming up in January. It should be listed in a Dildine Digest. Dildine Elementary will receive 15% of all sales that evening. This is an event where each family is responsible for their own food purchases.
Box Tops: This is a great and easy way to earn money for your school. Look at the packaging on the products you purchase at the grocery store. Each box top is worth $0.10 and some packaging may have bonus box tops. Please check your receipts from the grocery stores as you can earn eBoxTop codes with your purchases. Cut the box top from the packaging and return them with your student to Dildine. There are drawings and contests throughout the school year. If your student returns the box tops taped or glued to a piece of paper, 10 box tops per sheet of paper with their name, grade, and teacher they will be entered into the contest. Your student will also be able to use Box Tops for entry to family movie night and possibly to purchase raffle tickets. The current contest is for vouchers for Thanksgiving turkeys, pies, and one family will win a gift card for a Turkey dinner for four from King Soopers. This contest ends September 30th. Winners drawn in October.
